CareerSource Central Florida mobile career center relocates in sumter for first week of each month

Orlando, FL – The CareerSource Central Florida Mobile Career Center continues to provide free services to the businesses and career seekers of Sumter County for the first full week of each month, only now it will have a new address: 901 Industrial Drive, Wildwood, FL 34785.

Previously located at the Villages Sumter County Service Center on Powell Road, this new location is more customer-centric and will afford CSCF the opportunity to provide more direct services to the surrounding business community. The Mobile Career Center will be at its new location the week of October 5-9, and then the first full week of each month thereafter.

Businesses interested in training their employees, and career seekers looking for work, new skills, or to brush up on skills they already have, can receive assistance with writing resumes and cover letters, searching for jobs, and registering in Employ Florida Marketplace – the state’s largest job data base.

They can also participate in basic computer classes and interactive mock interviews on 10 computer stations, apply for CareerSource Central Florida scholarships that pay for educational training at local colleges and technical schools, or enroll in work experience programs to gain valuable on-the-job training.

Programs can be designed to meet the diverse needs of our clients. A CareerSource Central Florida instructor can teach one of the 27 “Learning Event” classes that include topics like networking, using social media to search for jobs, and coping with long-term unemployment. A CareerSource Central Florida Veteran Career Consultant can be onboard to help veterans tackle the distinct challenges they face in the job market.

The Mobile Career Center continues to spend the first full week of each month providing services to
the residents of Sumter and outlying areas Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (excluding holidays). CareerSource Central Florida officially launched this dedicated service to Sumter County on Tuesday, July 7.

CareerSource Central Florida provides tools to businesses and career seekers in Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Sumter counties to advance their professional standing. On average, we assist 1,300 businesses each month with job posting and recruitment, retention and training.
