CareerSource Hiring Event Being Held for Brite Leaf Citrus Nursery
Brite Leaf Citrus Nursery is currently seeking to fill the following positions: Propagation Manager, Nursery Workers and Receptionist in the Lake Panasoffkee, FL area.
Face-to-face interviews will be held Tuesday Sept 26th from 10am until 1pm at the CareerSource Leesburg office at 1415 S 14th Street, Leesburg, FL 34748. Bring an updated resume, photo ID and Social Security or other form of ID when attending the hiring event. Interviews will be held on a first come, first serve basis.
Propagation Manager Responsibilities:
Supervises employees to collect, sanitize and stick cuttings of citrus, as well as inventory reporting. Supervise the sanitation and planting of citrus seed as well as inventory reporting. Supervise and manage a crew of several people, as well as work alongside crew.
Propagation Manager Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, minimum 3 years’ propagation experience is required. Knowledge about varieties of citrus is a plus. The ability to speak Spanish is preferred. Prior employee management is preferred.
Salary: $30,000.00 – $35,00.00 (DOE)
Nursery Workers Responsibilities:
In a greenhouse environment, planting seeds and seedlings, sprouting, pruning, staking and tying citrus trees. Sort, move and group trees as directed as well as apply appropriate tree tags to identify varieties.
Nursery Worker Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum one month of experience. Must able to lift 40 pounds.
Salary: $9.00/hr.
Receptionist Responsibilities:
Answer phone, email communication with customers and vendors using Microsoft Outlook. File and organize information, scan and send documents prepare shipping labels, perform quality control checks for outgoing shipments. Data Entry in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, write letters using Microsoft Word, clean office weekly.
Receptionist Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum one month of experience. Must be polite and have good phone skills, willing to learn about citrus and patiently answer customer questions. Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Microsoft Access is a plus. Spanish speaking is a plus.
Salary: $9.00/hr.
