- Policies that government undertakes to meet economic objectives of high employment and sustainable growth.
- Policies that expand infrastructure and services that improve economic prosperity and quality of life.
- Policies that improve business climate, business retention, expansion and resiliency in times of disruption.
National Economic Development Week was created by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the largest professional membership organization for economic developers, in 2016 to recognize the unique role that economic development plays to create vibrant communities with strong economies. Sumter County Economic Development is a member of the IEDC and holds their Accredited Economic Development Organization designation.
