The State of Florida provides some of the best workforce training in the country, according to a poll by Expansion Management Magazine. Florida’s workforce training programs ranked 10th among all U.S. states. The FloridaFlex Workforce Training program provides grants for customized skills training for new Florida businesses or existing companies that are expanding.

Started in 1999, the Incumbent Worker Training program reimburses existing Florida businesses for costs associated with upgrading the skills of their full-time employees. It has directed about $14 million to improving the skills of more than 65,000 workers at 593 busines

The Florida Manufacturers Extension Partnership is a product of the Florida Advanced Technological Education Center (FLATE). It’s designed to create growth opportunities for Florida’s small and medium sized manufacturers by helping them become more efficient, productive and globally competitive.
